He started to learn Kendo (Japanese fencing) at the age of 9 and got San-dan
(the third grade of black belt) at the age of 17. At the same period he
met Takashi Okamoto, a teacher of Tate, a sword battle play, at the school of acting and Okamoto selected him for one of the starting
members of Jugoki, a Tate group. After various activities such as an actor,
a Tate player, a stunt man and a model on TV, movies, theaters, events
and commercial messages, at the age of 34 he established Brave Season,
an actors group which is specialized in Tate and action in order to present
their original Tachimawari. After several public performances, he changed
the name of group to Brave Season Basara, fixed the members and started
activities as a leader of Brave Season Basara. He organizes and directs
almost all programs and designs the movements. He himself also appears
on the stage. His smartly executed movements have an established reputation
and he often receives requests from other groups as an actor, a Tate player,
a stunt man and a Tate teacher. His motto is “to be rigid to himself and
to be more rigid to others”. His favorite saying is “still more” and “much
more”.
